Back in the fall I first met with Devon and Namdi; I usually do not talk about when I meet with a potential client. But this consultation was different, I was touched. I opened the front door, Devon and I made eye contact and we hugged. The crazy connection was like, like something you read in a book or maybe see in a movie. Then to top it off I was in tears with the story of their proposal. It has by far been the most remarkable story that I have heard so far. Infact, I have chills right now just writing about it. Long story short, Nnamdi rented a movie theater, slideshow of the two of them, lights turned on, theater filled with family and friends, Nnamdi on his knee purposing.
Here we are now at their engagement session, we started in the unique atmosphere of downtown Carlsbad; my hometown, and ended up with a gorgeous sunset at Studio Z’s secret beach spot in Carlsbad. I love-loved photographing Devon and Nnamdi today. So natural with one another, so safe, so in love. Devon’s eyes; magical, it was like I could look right into her beautiful soul. I cannot tell the two of you how much I enjoyed my time today with you. I will see you this July, in Malibu on your wedding day. Don’t forget to enjoy the next six months, soak up every single moment, breathe, and enjoy one another! ~Michelle
